ये चैव सात्त्विका भावा राजसास्तामसाश्च ये |
मत्त एवेति तान्विद्धि न त्वहं तेषु ते मयि ||12||

All states of being—sattvic, rajasic, or tamasic—arise from Me, but I am not bound by them.

तेषां ज्ञानी नित्ययुक्त एकभक्तिर्विशिष्यते |

Of these, the wise, who is ever steadfast and devoted to the One, excels. I am very dear to him, and he is dear to Me.
